Fey Armies
|
Oakmen are large tree spirits, summoned by the Fey. They live deep within the Fey
forests, bound to their trees, and are loathe to leave them.
Because they are the only Fey creatures strong enough to move and carry large
objects, their main use is to build the many Towers that will populate a Faery
base. However, they are also strong and sturdy and will often be found in a force of
Fey attackers ar defenders.

Individually, although quite fast, the Sylph is
probably the weakest creature in the lands of Etheria.
However... it is most uncommon to encounter just one sylph!
Equipped with tiny needle-like daggers, they can quickly
surround and overpower far more powerful opponents.

Spriggans are tiny woodland creatures who are often the mainstay of the Fey army. They will usually be seen in great numbers, particularly since they are one of the few Fey units that can be produced without any Crystal. Spriggans carry small sharp barbed spears. At the beginning of a battle, they are at worst a nuisance, but by the end of that same battle, when the Fey have researched all 9 Lore upgrades, a small group of Spriggans can become quite a handful.

This small woodland dragon may seem harmless and cute, but he can spit tiny balls of fire! That would not be a problem if you only encountered one, but like most Fey units, Faery Dragons tend to travel around in swarms. Occasionally a Wizard will keep one as a pet or familiar, but their violent mood-swings mean that one moment they will be curled up contentedly on your desk, and the next they will be burning your beard and trying to tear the nose off of your face. In fact the Orcish word for Faery Dragon, 'Golkorash', translates to 'Crazy Rat with Wings'.

The original lords of the Fey walked Etheria many thousands of years
ago. Now, all that remains of these intensely beautiful creatures are
faint memories and a few of their spirits who refuse to pass from
this life into the next. These spirits are known as Banshees.
Almost universally they are sad creatures, frightening and beautiful
at the same time. They wander by starlight crying out to the moon,
for their lost empire.
It is said that to hear the wail of Banshee will make even a brave warrior
run in fear, or perhaps even drop dead on the spot!

Lightning Hawks are a strange creature, found only in the
deepest forests and on the highest mountains in
the Realms of Etheria. Dwarves often seek them out to
capture them and train them - a fully trained Lightning
Hawk is prized possession for they are wild and
chaotic creatures, releasing bolt of lightning onto
ground-based targets seemingly at random.
The only race ever to live in harmony with the Lightning
Hawk is the Fey.
