Dark Dwarf Armies
|
Because the Dark Dwarves are too cowardly to enter battle themselves, they create hundreds of these
huge stonework monstrosities to do their dirty work for them. Stone Golems are the basic infantry
of the Dark Dwarves. Although they are slow to move, their size gives them the ability to attack
both air and land targets, while their high hit points allow them the time to close with an
ill-fated opponent.

This nasty little item is manufactured by the
Dark Dwarves at their Siege Workshop.
Firebombs are filled with a highly volatile
mixture, the exact composition of which is
known only to handful of senior Dark Dwarven
engineers. In battle, the simple mechanical
programming of a Firebomb causes it to seek
out enemies, race towards them and then explode
in a hail of white hot metallic shards.

Though not quite as nasty as the ultimate Dark Dwarven siege
weapon, the Hellbore, Flame Cannons still pack a frightening
punch, particularly when upgraded with Alchemists Fire.
In a small container attached to the back, various flammable liquids
are ignited. the resultant fireball is pumped out the barrel
and shot over vast distances towards unsuspecting foes.

The ultimate Dark Dwarven war machine is the Hellbore.
Each one is powered by a giant magical Sardonyx crystal.
This crystal draws magical energy from the very air around it
and then channels it into the rods on front. These rods
emit a charge of magical energy that can arc over vast distances
towards anyone unlucky enough to be in front of it.

Bronze Golems are a sturdier version of the Stone Golem.
However, unlike their lesser brethren, they possess the
capability to understand commands other than 'Walk',
'Stop' and 'Crush'.
Bronze Golems can be taught to Convert mines and even
to scavenge the rubble of razed buildings for
resources.
