    thanks all for great posts

    I agree with Steve that mods are strong side of WBC,I also want him to keep that in mind when making new game,definately make a map editor, the custom campaigns and maps from comunity were so much fun and extra longevity to the game

    I use the official 1.03 patch and I run in compatability mode for Win XP SP3 in 256 colors and it runs fine for my Undead Necromancer :-)

    Here are my PC specs:
    - ASUS M4A87T AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard

    - Windows 7 Ultimate x64 w/ SP1

    some problems seems to come with unnoficial patch

    I've no idea whether it will work or not but it may be possible to patch the GOG version to (official) 1.03 using the patch installer found on Enlight's WBC3 page. Hope it helps .

    The version on GOG is the only version that's guaranteed to work on modern systems. Whether you prefer the updates is a different matter entirely.

    I have used CD WBC3 on Win Vista and 7 . Now I have Win 8 ,but left CD home abroad .I can't say about it compability with 8
    What is with official WBC 3 on GOG , which causes problems ?
