Q. How do I get Warlords 3: Reign of Heroes, and Darklords Rising to run under WinXP?
A. This is a mouse cursor problem. On your shortcut, after the .exe", put in a space, then the argument -wincurs (outside the ""). So it would look something like this: "C:\Program files\Warlords3\warlords3.exe" -wincurs

Q. What ports do I need to open to run Warlords 3: Darklords Rising multiplayer with a router?
A. The word on the forums is that the game normally uses ports 2300 and 2350. But if you have problems, or want to run a second copy of the game on another PC behind the firewall, you may want to open the whole range 2300-2400.

The game also uses TCP : 47624. To check the TCP/UDP ports on any game you are trying to connect on, select Control Panel, Network Connections, Internet Gateway, Properties, Settings. This will list the applications and Ports used, athough it is not always clear what Port 47624 is being run against (i.e. it just lists that port as being used and doesn't say it's being used by DLR so some work will need to be done if many applications are running on the PC that connect to the internet).

Q. What ports do I need to open to run Warlords Battlecry III multiplayer with a router?
A. The word on the forums is that port 23975 is the magic number.
