STEVE FAWKNER'S E3 REPORT

This year's E3 was a big success for us at Infinite Interactive. We were showing our latest game, Warlords IV, at the Ubi Soft booth in South Hall. Having spent 3 days doing many interviews for the gaming press, and talking to many customers, we feel that this new Warlords title will be well-received by gamers and media alike.

Here are some pictures from around the Ubi Soft booth:

Myself & Garrett Graham (our Producer at Ubi Soft) at the Warlords IV stand. I'm the ugly one on the right!

Me and Dexter Chow (Executive Producer at Ubi Soft).

This one is me showing the game to Steve Lieb of Strategy Gaming.

This is me and my wife, Janeen. She is Infinite's Art Director… it's very handy when you're married to your Art Director!

So what else did we do?
Well, in between the interviews and collecting free t-shirts, we walked the show floor checking out everybody else's games. For me, this is like being a big kid in the world's largest toy store. There was a lot of good stuff, and I'll give an honorable mention below to the games that I thought were particularly good.

1. Prince of Persia - Sands of Time
Beautiful environments and amazing character animation. I can't wait to play this one.

2. Sudeki
Possibly one of the most fluid interfaces I have seen on a console RPG. I might buy an Xbox just to play this one.

3. Castlevania
The enemies in this game had heaps of personality and special moves. The imagination that went into creating it was most impressive.

4. The Hulk
I normally find these sort of games a bit boring, but the Hulk can do so many gratuitously violent things to people, that I was riveted to the screen. Tons of character!

5. Half Life 2
Best physics engine I have ever seen. Really takes the game to a new level.

6. Exarch
I try to keep away from Massively Multiplayer RPGs, because I get too addicted to them. Exarch seems similar to most others, but I thought it looked the most striking of all - even better than World of Warcraft.

7. Savage
This was the most interesting game design of the show for me. It was a blend between Strategy and FPS gameplay set in a barbaric fantasy world.

8. Soul Calibur II
It just looked fantastic - beautiful lighting.
